
The final Compete event was held in London at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office from the 4th till the 5th June 2007.
The conference's title was 'Competitive European Cities: What Messages for the UK?'. The event brought together the major findings generated by the network.
Phil Woolas MP, Minister for Local Government and Community Cohesion provided the keynote speech outlining the UK's policy for competitive cities. The conference was chaired by Professor Michael Parkinson CBE.
