Compete is a European city-regional network aimed at sharing best practice on key factors influencing city competitiveness such as connectivity, the knowledge economy, quality of life and innovation. It includes the Core Cities, represented through Sheffield and the six other city regions of Barcelona, Dortmund, Helsinki, Munich, Lyon and Rotterdam.
Compete will communicate experience and knowledge on how to raise the profile and performance of major regional cities to enable them to fulfil their potential as drivers of urban renaissance and economic competitiveness.
The Compete network is establishing a Knowledge Resource Centre to collate data and best practice on city region competitiveness from across the seven city-regions.
